What We Do

Research & Advocacy

Our Research & Advocacy highlights the development, humanitarian, and policy challenges impacting Black and African communities, and amplifies the voices of those bringing about change. Through community-based research, we uncover the root causes of systemic issues and develop solutions that center the needs of community members.

Advocacy in Action

Storytelling is at the heart of our advocacy. Through digital content, we collaborate with youth leaders, humanitarians, and human rights activists from Africa and the diaspora to amplify their voices. By showcasing both the challenges and opportunities within their communities, we aim to inspire action and drive meaningful change on a global scale.

After two years of responding to the crisis in Ukraine, our Voices of Survival: Untold Stories of Africans in Ukraine docuseries covers the stories of students whose education was disrupted by the war. Sponsored by the Open Society Foundation and executive produced by NoirUnited co-founders Macire Aribot Ashford and Nassim Ashford.
